Become a NYS PCAP Preceptor!

Asthma specialists utilize quality, guidelines-based care that is essential to the proper diagnosis and
management of asthma for both children and adults. But often, even higher risk patients with asthma may not
consult with a specialist until experiencing an adverse health event caused by poorly controlled asthma.  By
sharing your knowledge of asthma care, primary care providers (PCPs) can better help patients to manage their
asthma and prevent avoidable asthma-related emergency department (ED) visits, hospitalizations, and urgent care visits.

NYS PCAP is looking for asthma specialists to serve as preceptors for the program. Read on to see if NYS PCAP is
a fit for you and your practice.
