While school is out and summer fun is here, it’s important to stay on top of your asthma management. Seasonal triggers such as heat, humidity, air pollution, and smoke can all increase the risk of asthma symptoms. Follow these tips to help stay healthy this summer: Check local air quality reports and limit outdoor activities when pollution levels are high Monitor daily temperatures before heading outside and avoid strenuous activities on hot or humid days Sit upwind of campfires and consider wearing a mask to limit smoke exposure Use your quick-relief inhaler before physical activities if you have exercise-induced asthma Pack your asthma medicines when traveling or heading to camp Follow your Asthma Action Plan

Asthma Awareness Month Proclamation |
| In May, we were honored to receive a signed proclamation from New York City Mayor Mamdani proclaiming May as Asthma Awareness Month! We are grateful for this recognition and the continued efforts to raise awareness around asthma, a chronic condition that impacts approximately 1 in 12 children and 1.5 million adults across New York State. Together, we can continue to increase awareness and support access to consistent, high-quality asthma care for individuals and families throughout our communities. |
